At the time being there is noted neither the own symphony orchestra nor a musical festival, nor a developed concert life in the city of Saransk. That is why a visit of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra to Mordovia will become a real event for the region. The Festival is significant also owing to the fact that young soloist-pianist Dmitry Demyashkin, born in Saransk, will be a participant in its performances.
A graduator from the Central Musical School of the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky and High school of music of Zurich, a winner of the world contests in CIS countries, Czech, Italy, Switzerland, USA, the 28-year old musician has already acquired the world fame. Since 2007 he has been an honored artist of the Republic of Mordovia having become the youngest holder of this honorary title.
Mainly the Russian classical symphony music will be included in programs of the Festival’s performances: they are compositions of Tchaikovsky, Glazunov, Kalinnikov, Sviridov … In D. Demyashkin’s performance two piano Concertos: The First Concerto of P.I. Tchaikovsky and the First Concerto of F. Chopin will be performed.
In addition to the performances, the Festival will include master-classes of the Orchestra’s soloist for students of the musical college, a creative evening and a performance of the chamber ensembles of musicians of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra.
