The question, on the first face, seems to be somewhat out of place… How one can damn the thing that adding to a series of rather varied and very impressive with regards of the repertoire performances of French operas dedicated to the “Year of France in Russia” and realized through the Moscow Philharmonic, one more interesting and independent project was added – the “Damnation of Faust” of Berlioz!
Not to damn but only be pleased with the fact that thanks to Vladimir Fedoseyev’s authority foreign soloists and, perhaps, this is the most significant, the Choir of the French Radio, have visited Moscow.
The Russian maestro personally stood behind a conductor’s stand of his team – Tchaikovsky symphony orchestra.
